I am not currently building new web sites because I am updating my skills. I am learning to build web sites with Cascading Style Sheets instead of nested tables. This will mean increased browser compatibility, better performance, easier content management, and higher search engine rankings.
I will continue to provide hosting, domain name registration, and updating services to existing clients at the prices listed below.
To my web site clients:
Unscheduled requests for updates may require a waiting period of up to two weeks. Any rush requests will include a 50% increase in pricing. Update Plans will be honored on a pre-scheduled basis.
Prices are as follows:
Hosting without domain - $59 per year
Hosting and 1 domain - $79 per year
Hosting and 2 domains - $99 per year
Hosting and 3 domains - $119 per year
Update Plans (Clients must supply update content by email or on CD):
up to 4 updates (seasonal) $48 per year ($12 each)
up to 12 updates (monthly) $132 per year ($11 each)
up to 52 updates (weekly) $520 per year ($10 each)
Examples of Individual Update Pricing:
Adding & optimizing photos $15 each
Adding & optimizing photos $12 each when sent together as a group (more than 1 photo)
Minor text changes $10 per page
Adding Word or PDF documents $10
Creating new html pages $50 each

Hosting plans and domain names must be renewed every year to keep a web site active (prices are approximately $59 - $119 annually) and do not include updates although I fix a reasonable number of broken links, new addresses, wrong phone numbers, and spelling mistakes for free.
Please keep in mind that technology is changing rapidly, new browser versions are coming out, and web sites built the old fashioned way with HTML and nested tables may not hold up much longer. For your next web site, look for a design that incorporates XHTML and Cascading Style Sheets. A few tables are OK when displaying tabular information, but they should not be the basis for the whole site design.

Another option (if you are fairly internet savvy) is to purchase a hosting plan from Netfirms and use their Web Site Builder to build a whole new site. You can do your own updates without the added expense of hiring a custom designer! Contact me for details.
